Jeffrey Levy
Jeffrey Levy, M.D., is an entrepreneur, educator, author, and an internationally recognized expert in e-Learning. He was appointed CEO of the VIA Institute on Character in September 2022. Previously, he served as the Founder and CEO of CaseNetwork, a technology enhanced clinical care and self-care education company. Prior to this, Dr. Levy was founder and CEO of Reflective Learning, a company that empowered people to build skills that foster resilience and breakthrough thinking to take control of life’s challenges, and to thrive and flourish.
Dr. Levy has been in the forefront of innovations in the healthcare field for almost three decades. Some of his accomplishments include developing the first virtual reality surgical simulator, producing the first online case-based education in medicine, and creating ten online positive psychology programs. He has worked with hundreds of subject matter experts, dozens of healthcare societies, and government regulators to advance healthcare education, training, and practice. Through his award-winning programs, Dr. Levy has educated over 400,000 healthcare providers globally.
Dr. Levy has also served as the Medical Director of Education and Technology Initiatives for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where his responsibilities included development of computerized physician and patient education systems. He has been course director for over 70 courses, has presented over 200 national and international lectures, has authored numerous scientific papers and a book, and has developed several patents and inventions. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
